Physical medicine
Physical medicine is a form of rehabilitative medicine. Its goal is to restore functional ability in patients with physical impairments and disabilities. Physical medicine uses medication and other non-invasive options such as physical therapy, exercise therapy, heat or ice, and muscle and nerve stimulation.
We use physical medicine to treat disabilities caused by illness, injury or birth defect. This includes patients suffering from spinal cord damage, head trauma, stroke, osteoporosis, arthritis, tendonitis, fibromyalgia and work and sports related injuries.
