Hydrotherapy

Hydrotherapy is the use of water for healing purposes, either internally or externally. We use hot or cold water in the form of ice, liquid or steam, along with methods such as wound cleaning, warm moist compresses, ice packs, whirlpool or steam baths, and drinking water in order to prevent or reduce dehydration.

Hydrotherapy treats a range of conditions such as colds and sore throats, inflammation and swelling, arthritis, hyperthermia and dehydration. It is also used in physical rehabilitation and exercise. Warm water baths or cleansing baths can even boost the immune system, improve digestion, calm the lungs and stimulate the mind.
